Saturdays At Shop This

Change is good, right? Today I am announcing Saturdays At Shop This, an unfussy Wrap Up of my shopping adventures of the week. In order to send you a Monday edition of Shop This, I must work on Sundays. The thing is, if I work on Sunday, there is no time for Mr. Shop This. Going forward, I'll do a quick Weekend Wrap Up every Saturday, instead of a Monday post. I first saw this idea at The Zhush, the blog of Sue De Chiara, owner of the fabulous Internet shop, Zhush. You can often find her products in my edits. Her Interior Design posts are so good!

Spotlight on Swoozies

Little leprechauns are having fun with my post, randomly making words green. Must be the luck of the Irish, but not my intent! :)

Foodie Friday: Serve Up A Stylish St. Pat's Dinner ~ Recipes & More

On March 17th, everyone is Irish for a day.  Being part Irish, I do love all of the celebration, and never mind the "wear'n of a little green." I do find, however, average Irish food a little boring. So today, I present St. Pat's worthy recipes and cooks tools that are both creative and delicious.

Potato, Brussels Sprouts and Goat Cheese Pizza
Truffle oil, goat cheese and Brussels - what's not to like? This would be something different as your St. Patrick's Dinner appetizer.
Heather Christo

Mint Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Sandwiches
Looking for a dessert on the 17th? These are just the thing, and all ages will love it!
The Merry Thought

Short Rib Pies
These really look too cute to eat. This will be a feast for any pot pie lover......like Mr. Shop This!
Foxes Love Lemons

Potato, Celery Root and Sunchoke Cream with Purple Potato Chip
{Gluten Free}
A creamy and light soup that is said to be "soothing." I can believe that, as I have always felt a potato helps an ailing tummy. This recipe calls for coconut milk. Yummy!
Cannelle Vanille

Cheddar Cheese Broccoli Tots
Here's a recipe that will get the kids to eat their broccoli! Panko breadcrumbs keep them light.
I Am A Food Blog

L'Objet Malachite Tray
Set a stylish table on St. Pat's Day and beyond with these beautiful serving pieces.
Neiman Marcus

Rosemary Cheddar Irish Soda Bread
Traditional Irish Soda Bread is a bit plain for me.  This recipe, by adding Rosemary and Cheddar cheese is a game changer!
Foodness Gracious

 Cheesy Cabbage Gratin
I have just never been a cooked cabbage kind of girl, but I have never tried it with cheese. These little pots of gold do look good!
Hungry Couple NYC

Irish Cream Coffee Cupcakes & Marshmallow Top
These just look insanely good to me. The pretty pistachio sprinkle is perfection!
Melangery

Sausage Biscuit Skillet With Guinness
I am not sure how authentically Irish this dish is, but at least it calls for Irish beer.
Jelly Toast Blog

 Staub Pine Mini Cocotte
Serve up individual beef stews or mac and cheese in these super stylish servers.
Sur La Table

An Irishman's Mac And Cheese
Yes, those are potato chips you see in the Mac and Cheese. Isn't  that a brilliant addition? You will also find kale, bacon and Irish white cheddar. Oh My!
Half Baked Harvest

Chinoiserie Dinnerware
Add a global view to your St. Pat's dinner with these retro-chic patterns. Use them outdoor beyond the 17th. They are unbreakable and affordable!
 Pier One Imports

Farmhouse Cheddar And Irish Stout Fondue
There's nothing more Irish than boiled potatoes and Guinness Stout. The idea is a little ho-hum until you dip it all in a warm cheese sauce. Now that's a party!

Mrs. Shamrock Smash
Bursting with minty and lime flavors, this is one festive cocktail.

Rainbow Marshmallows
A homemade marshmallow is a very special treat. I have not tried to make them, but aren't these fun? If this is what you find at the end of the rainbow, let's spend the holiday there!

Golden Raisin Bread
Marc has taken the basic Irish Soda Bread and made it much more interesting. The addition of golden raisins and lemon zest, must give this recipe an added brightness, sweetness and texture. Don't you just want a bite?

Iced Whiskey Coffees with Whiskey Syrup and Whipped Cream
I am not a coffee drinker, but add some liquor and I can be converted. If you love the metallic straws like I do, I found some at Etsy. Click HERE
