ShoppIng From Home At HSN

Today's spotlight is on shopping from home, specifically from HSN, the original Home Shopping Network. There are so many things you will love designed by people you know. Find fashion and accessories by super model Iman, Shoes by Jessica Simspon, Clean beauty from those Fabulous Beekman Boys, Bethany Frankel's Skinny Girl Jeans, kitchen products by Chefs Curtis Stone and Wolfgang Puck, fashion by Giuliana Rancic, and so much more. Here's a break down of  some of the most fabulous finds at HSN. And be sure to shop the
End Of Summer Sale.

~ Jewelry ~

I always feel lucky when I accidentally stumble upon Iris showing her designs. What a hoot she still is! Get her jewelry looks and a few fashion pieces
 all in one place.

If you like big and chunky or even minimalist fashion jewelry, click on over to Marla's collection. It's so fun, and each piece makes a statement. The stimulated Pearl Hammered Squared Ring is cocktail chic!  And her Black Open Link and Metal Station 79" Necklace is really good looking. Perfect for a black turtleneck or sweater dress.

A few years back, Judith had a store in my building  in Chicago. What fabulous finds! She now brings her flair for design to HSN and makes it much more affordable for all.

~ Electronic Devices ~

Purchasing a tablet or any kind of computer,  from HSN makes sense. With three or more payments and zero interest, it is the way to go for some bigger priced items.

This is a large category, and where I usually end up on HSN. Again, making payments allows you to get what you need now, and take 2 - 6 months to pay for it.

HSN has you covered when it comes to hair and styling. You will find products from Living Proof, Drybar, Fekkai and more.

They create beautiful non toxic products for your face, body, and your home. You have heard me praise them many times. I use their facial wipes, bar soaps, body cream, and  hand and body liquid soap daily. The main luxurious ingredient is goats milk!

Clinically proven and results driven, this beauty brand has a cult following. I have not tried it, but have friends that swear by it, especially the Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer.

There are so many brands that you already love like Lancome, Clinique, MAC Cosmetics, Deborah Lippmann Nail Care and more. Best yet, products often go on sale, and HSN offers special bundles that you can't get anywhere else.

~ Kitchen ~

This is a big category on HSN.  The flex pays really come in handy on high end brands like Nespresso.  You will find every color under the sun of KitchenAid Stand Mixers, with a few exclusive to the network. There is a big collection of Cuisinart products, too,  like cookware and food processors. Click through to find just what your kitchen needs.

~ Dogs ~
You will find basic beds, Sherpa beds, to travel beds, canine couture like the cute sweater above, non toxic dog shampoo and more. Everything a pampered pet would ever want.

Saturdays At Shop This: Sweet Things

Well, we made it through another Covid19 week. Much like the others, it was filled with images of violence, despair, inequality, and Mother Nature's wrath. I was so happy to see this sweet photo (above)  on my Instagram feed today. It's Katy Perry's baby announcement. Her first child, Daisy Dove, entered the world this week, and Katy had the sweetest manicure.  Today's post is meant to replace all of the negative images in your own mind with sweet things. Enjoy!

Introducing a New Baby to the Family Dynamic: Besides Katy, I know two new moms, Kate and Allie, that have given birth in the last 3 weeks. This subject is important. Share these great tips with someone in your life that may need it.

Sweet Treat: An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Make them chocolate covered, and life becomes a little sweeter. Mrs. Prindable's now has a Pumpkin Spice variety. A lovely gift to send across the miles. It's also a perfect teacher gift.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Miranda Kerr on Her Debut Furnishings Collection: The model turned entrepreneur states about her furnishings: "I strive to create and design products with positive intention that can hopefully uplift and inspire.” I found her furnishings positively delightful. And the pretty pops of pink were sweet and stylish.

and more.

Foodie Friday: Cooking With Red Wine

It's #NationalRedWineDay, and we are celebrating with 14 boozy recipes.  If you are like me, you take any opportunity to cook or bake with alcohol. Cooking with wine is the perfect way to bring a subtle flavor and a new level of complexity to any dish. I do it all of the time. In fact, any time a savory recipe calls for water, add wine instead. Today's recipe roundup features, sweet and savory dishes that promise to impress your guests and tantalize your tastebuds.
So pop a cork and get cooking!

Red Wine Cherry Tomato
Crostini is simply chic. I have noticed that men especially enjoy them. The tomatoes have been roasted with a dash of balsamic for tang, and a good helping of red wine for acidity. The result is some serious flavor.

Short Rib Meatballs With Red
Wine Sauce
Just when I thought you couldn't improve upon the classic meatball, this recipe comes into our lives. The ground short ribs add the richness.

Smoked Ancho Chile Salted Steaks With Drunken Burst Cherries + Burrata
Isn't this an interesting combination? The wine comes in with the drunken cherries. The best news, this recipe works with any cut of steak.

Red Wine Chocolate Snack Cake
I looked at quite a few red wine cake recipes for this post. This one stood out to me. It had me at the word "snack." Sometimes you just need a bite of chocolate and a sip of wine to get you through the day. The ganache topping with flaky sea salt must be everything!

Red Wine–Dijon Vinaigrette
One of the things I love to make is a good vinaigrette. The sky is the limit as to the flavors you can create. The red wine used in this dressing has been reduced on the stove. How interesting!

Turkey Sliders With Red Wine Caramelized Onions & Goat Cheese
I love a good turkey burger. This recipe has all of the extras one could want. The red wine caramelized onions are the big stars here. I can only imagine the depth of flavors!  By the way, this recipe calls for ground turkey breast.
Looks fab!

Sangria Cupcakes
I am not sure if I would take a sip of wine or a bite of the cupcake first. This is a real grown up treat. The cupcakes are made with fruit in the batter and frosted with a red wine buttercream. Imagine licking that bowl!

Read Wine Steak Marinade
I recently marinated a grass fed strip steak. It was my first time, and it won't be my last. Fabulous! My marinade had no recipe but it did have red wine in it.
 Try it!

 Ratatouille Tart
A good way to use up all of the Summer produce. This beautiful tart would make for a lovely lunch!

Strawberry Red Wine Sorbet
Isn't this the most luscious looking sorbet? I make ice cream weekly, but have never made sorbet. This recipe looks like it would be worth the effort.

Red Wine + Goat Cheese Risotto with Caramelized Mushrooms
This is one of my very favorites of this recipe roundup. Maybe it is because I love every element of this dish. Making risotto is good for the soul, and a test of your patience, for sure.

Red Wine Portobello Burger With "Mozzarella" {Vegan}
Picture proof that you don't need meat to make a hearty burger. This recipe is said to be slightly smoky and just a
 little bit spicy.

Red Wine Ice Cream Float
Crazy easy to make, and an elegant ending to a beautiful meal. Only three ingredients needed for this unique cocktail/dessert.

Sticky Red Wine Glazed Wings
My record of never having had wings is still intact. However, even I have to admit that these look good. They are said to be sweet, savory, and boozy! Now that's a tasty trio.
