I own two in grey, and absolutely love them. First of all there is the price. It's way less than $20. I use mine to cover my lounge chair on our sun deck. It's huge. I really don't know how thirsty they are, because I have never been wet when using it. I do know that they are soft. Super soft. It's a sophisticated look and if I had a personal pool, I would buy them by the dozen...which they do sell. Perfect for picnics too.
