Foodie Friday: One Bowl Meals

I have blogged about most types of food over the years, but never about Bowl Meals. It's about time. These recipes may be the biggest addition to restaurant menus of the last 5 years or so. They are mostly healthy, filled with powerful nutrients and flavor! So this weekend, put your plate away and try one of these beautiful bowls.

Healthy Vegan Buddha Bowl With Sweet Peanut Soy Sauce
An Asian inspired dish that does not have meat or seafood. But what it does have is roasted veggies like purple cabbage, broccoli, and sweet potatoes. There's yummy baked tofu, too. The sauce sounds delish!

Ahi Poke Bowls With Pineapple and Avocado
This will be the first of the recipes that I am trying immediately. Lucky me, my Thursday Farmers Market has fabulous fresh Ahi. I'm excited. I'll skip the rice.

Pork al Pastor Bowls
What a pretty presentation this Mexican inspired bowl has. The decorative drizzle you see is avocado crema. Yum!

Egg Role In A Bowl
Though it is not very pretty, it's easy to make, delicious, and healthier than the typical fried egg roll.

Shrimp Bowls with Coconut Cilantro Lime Rice & Pineapple Salsa
Besides the rice, this recipe is right up my alley. It's a refreshing and easy one.
Two Peas & Their Pod

Healthy Chicken Burrito Bowl
This recipe becomes healthy when you use Chicken breast instead of thighs. Add some cilantro lime rice and you have a beautiful bowl.

Spicy Ginger Caramelized Salmon Bowl
Don't worry. This recipe is said to be only slightly spicy. The salmon is so filled with flavor, thanks to the marinade. It's also super healthy, and oh so colorful!

Baha Taco Bowl
If you love fish and chips, you are going to adore this big beautiful bowl! By the way, does anyone know where I can get those gorgeous watermelon radishes? This is another recipe on my must make list.

Beef Short Rib Rice Bowls
Featuring bold flavors, these ribs do not require the normal lengthy time to cook. The are cooked off the bone and thinly sliced.

Salmon Caesar Salad Bowls
Half Caesar and half rice bowl with a base of kale and romaine. The dressing is said to be super light, making this one "good for you" bowl.

And if healthy, veggie forward meals aren't your thing. The following recipe may just appeal to your sweet tooth!

No Churn Peanut Butter Fudge Ripple Ice Cream
I just made no churn ice cream today. It is super easy, and you don't need any special equipment, except for a hand mixer. Once you learn the basic ingredients, you can make any flavor you want. You're welcome! :)
