18 St. Patrick's Day Recipes That Are Celebration Worthy

You don't have to be Irish to appreciate corned beef and cabbage. St. Patrick's Day holds a special place in my heart. Once upon a time, a pitcher (or two) of green beer led to a little Irish lass named "Miss Shop This." Don't tell her I told you. These 18 recipes are all celebration worthy. Scroll down for the fabulous recipe above.

Shamrock Frappe
I can on imagine how refreshing this drink smells. All of those mint leaves have been slightly rubbed to release their essential oils. It's made with Absinthe.

Colin Fassnidge’s Irish Stew
From The Four In Hand restaurant in Sydney. This dish looks Irish in every way. At heart, it is a
lamb stew.

Colcannon
If you haven't tried this dish before, you are missing out. Basically it is mashed potatoes mixed with spinach. This recipe changes it up with kale. As you can see, it is a super colorful creation, that's actually quite good.

Brown Butter Soda Bread With Honey Cinnamon Butter
My own Mom made this bread. I remember thinking it was a little boring. But that blended butter changes everything!

Malted Guinness Chocolate Cake with Bailey's Frosting
This cake will make every Irish (or not) lad and lass swoon. It's authentic and sounds over the top delish.

Irish Ale Potato Cheddar Soup
Now this is a stick to your ribs kind of recipe. It's made with 12 oz. of ale and 8 oz. of Irish sharp cheddar. It's all topped off with beer battered leeks.

Irish Pub Spinach and Artichoke Melt
This sandwich and a Guinness would make the best meal. It's made with a good Irish cheddar.

Test Kitchen Secrets For The Best Corned Beef
Be forewarned. This recipe calls for prep time, days ahead.

Grasshopper Brownies
With ingredients like organic cane sugar, organic wheat flour, organic chocolate chips, organic cocoa, organic tapioca starch and sea salt, these are not as bad for you as they could be. The base of the brownies is said to be dreamy and fudgy!

Irish Stout Onion Soup
Gluten Free
My favorite soup gets an Irish kiss from beer.  It calls for Udi's Rye Bread for the croutons. If you are not concerned about gluten, use normal bread.
Running To The Kitchen

Slow Cooker Corned Beef & Cabbage Sliders
Fun and festive! A few of these and a couple of beers and you are sure to be feeling Irish for the day.

Reuben-Topped Irish Nachos
Gluten Free
This clever recipe according to the author: "These Irish Nachos feature seasoned, oven-baked potato chips, topped with the ever-popular flavors of a reuben sandwich! Easy to make,
seriously delicious!"
Two Healthy Kitchens

No Bake Bailey's Irish Cream Cheesecake
Said to be be super creamy, dreamy and easy! The Bailey's makes it creamy, the chocolate ganache adds the dreamy, and Oreos, makes this dessert irresistible.
The Busy Baker

Reuben and Guinness Mac and Cheese
Here's a one pan meal that is also a great way to use up leftover Corned Beef. It's really modern comfort food. Pieces of thick cut corned beef, and sauerkraut are stirred into the rich and gooey cheese mixture. YUM!

Irish Coffee
I don't drink coffee, unless it is Irish Coffee or a Cappuccino with liquor. And don't even think about enjoying either, especially the I Irish Coffee, without whipped cream. This recipe has been taken up a notch with the addition of both Irish Whiskey and Baileys. Yes!

Bailey's Hazelnut Chocolate Tiramisu
This is a buzzy, boozy, rich dessert that is light as air. You switch out the normal Marsala wine for the Bailey's. I'm in!
Irish Margarita
With the emerald green color and golden sugar rim, this is one gorgeous green drink. It's also loaded with booze like, Resposado tequila, Irish whiskey, Blue curacao, and Aperol. The combination of colors gives the cocktail its' color.

Mini Shepherd's Pies
I've never made a Shepherd's pie before. But these are just adorable. They have been made with flaky pie crust, a meaty filling, and creamy
 mashed potatoes.
