Foodie Friday: Celebrate Easter & Passover Together

I just love when parts of the world celebrates anything together. Next week is the beginning of Passover and then Easter. Time to get the family together and celebrate love and life. This recipe roundup has something yummy for everyone.

Brisket with Spiced Coffee and Charoset Juice
Most of the elements of this casserole can be made in advance so that, come seder night, all you have to do is reheat the filling, assemble the casserole,
and bake.

Robin’s Egg Carrot Cake Donuts
How pretty are these donuts? They are the perfect thing to add to your Easter brunch menu, or start the day of all of your little chickadees.

Braised Beef Short Ribs in Red Wine Sauce
I don't care what you are celebrating, this dish look fabulous for all. It will be a crowd pleaser that's gluten free, high protein, low carb, one pot, and can be made in advance. It's a winner!

Gluten Free No Bake Easter Egg
 Cheesecake
This recipe is beginner friendly, and tastes
egg-cellent! It has no flour so you don't have to go out and hunt down gluten free flour. No one will miss it. Yum!

Smoked Salmon Platter
Another recipe that can go either way, Easter or Passover. Perfect anytime of the day, too.

Artichoke Gouda Tart
Created with Easter in mind, but could be wonderful for any special spring event. It's made with frozen puff pastry so it is easy, too!

Spring Roasted Potato Salad
What you have here is a  flavor-packed side dish for spring! It’s made with crispy roasted potatoes, asparagus, thinly sliced red onion, radishes, lots of fresh herbs, and a lemon vinaigrette.

The Toasted Coconut Sour Recipe
"After a long Seder and hearty dinner, there’s nothing more satisfying than a coconut macaroon. They’re sticky, crumbly, and slightly addicting. For a cocktail that takes a tropical twist on the classic holiday dessert, try out the Toasted Coconut Sour. "
Cheers!

Shrimp Deviled Eggs
There is nothing more "Easter-ish" than a deviled egg or Bunny cake. These are a bit decadent and so easy to make.

Halibut with Fennel and Haricots Verts
Brisket usually takes center stage on the Passover table, but this dish is equally appetizing. The touch of lemon adds the spring zing!

Garlic Lemon and Thyme Crusted Rack of Lamb
Lamb was once a must have on Easter Sunday. I loved it, but haven't had it in years. This recipe looks divine and Easter company worthy. It is so impressive looking.

Chocolate Caramel Matzo Bark With Strawberries and Coconut
Can you have too much Matzo at Passover? I think not. Big and little kids will love this Passover treat

Easter Brunch Frittata
This recipe is hearty, flavorful, and can be put together in 40 minutes. Best yet, you can make it the night before and pop it into the oven in the morning. It features cheese, ham, and spinach.
Best Ever Macaroons
Gluten Free
When you just can't look at another matzo, try making these. Of course you can make them without dipping the cookie in chocolate. But really, why would you not? There's a step by step video to follow. Just click below.

Cottontail Martini
The perfect Sunday spirit. The chic cocktail features a yummy coconut flavor with whipped vodka, coconut rum, and pineapple juice. That marshmallow "tail" on the glass is the cutest.

Roasted Beef Tenderloin  With French Onion Au Jus
A little bit fancier than brisket. The thyme crusted meat is more simple than it looks. For Passover. omit the butter or find a dairy free substitute.

Coconut Lemon Layer Cake
Doesn't this cake look moist and think? I love a four layer cake, because that means more filling and frosting ~ the best part. This recipe has all of the Easter feels and flavors!

Allergy Free Potato Leek Kugel
Gluten & Dairy Free
Kugel can be sweet or savory. I have had both, but none of them looked like this dish. That's why I included this recipe in the roundup. Mashed potatoes are used as the binder. The flavor is boosted with leeks, onions, and chives.

Jammy Upside-Down Onion Tart
This dish is so appealing to me. I love the sweet and savory flavors of caramelized onions. I try to add them to any dishes that I can. By the way, they are great in a turkey breast burger. "The deep, rich onion flavor is a natural fit for meat, but if you’re keen on something lighter, serve it as a main course with a salad of greens on the side.”
