For Mollie: Classic & Chic Bar Carts

Shop Kosta Boda Today!

My dear friend, Mollie, has had her heart set on finding a Bar Cart for her stylish suburban home, for some time now. We found the perfect piece at Chicago's Crosell and Co, and it disappeared before she could make up her mind.  So, in an effort to please both Mollie and others on the hunt for the classic cart...I present a few of my fave finds for your own inspiration.

As seen in Lonny magazine, this mid century,
brass beauty is paired with bold colors and
contemporary art. Talk about stylish service!

1950's famous "Carrinho de Cha" cart on three
wheels by Jorge Zalszupin. Made from Bent plywood veneered with Brazilian jacaranda, this wooden wonder will really get the conversation going. Find it at: 1stDibs

A shot of star style for bachelor, Adam Levine.
His Hollywood Hills home features a sophisticated
mid-century cart. A chic cocktail companion to the
adjacent wooden storage/bar chest. Read the article at Architectural Digest

Glam to go! The Worlds Away Carr Cart is
vintage inspired yet goes a little mod with chic
circles. Glitzy in gold leaf, this cart has me
craving a gimlet on the rocks!

Now this is how I'd use a bar cart: a little bubbly
for the bubbles. Talk about room service! There
are so many practical and fanciful uses for these
carts. You can find one to match any decor.

This cart by Avroko is tricked out with every
possible convenience and luxurious detail. Also available
in a sleek stainless steel version, it's the
creme de la creme of carts!

I found this totally cool trolley on Pinterest.
Unfortunately it was not identified correctly.
Whoever the designer is (if you know, please leave a comment) they certainly gave this cart a modern edge.

Robert Schilling's Drink Bar Cart is
custom made in over a dozen colors and finishes.
A sleek and stylish server is a timeless addition to any home.

Stir things up a bit with this party on wheels.
Mid-Century and made of lucite.....how fabulous!

Well, Miss Mollie, I'm not certain I found the bar cart of your dreams, but hopefully I've inspired you to find new sources  for your quest for the best!

2013 Goes Glam With Green

Pantone has announced the new it color for 2013: Emerald Green. According to Pantone, emerald "brings a sense of clarity, renewal and rejuvenation, which is so important in today's complex world." More importantly, I've been told the color looks good with my green eyes, so I'm down with this choice! Going forward we'll see this haute hue popping up on the runways to the mood boards of interior designers everywhere.  Shop This.....shopped all things emerald for your own inspiration. I'll be trying the emerald eyeliner!

The fabric of the skirt looks as if it would feel divine.

An easy way to wear emerald is on your finger! Elsa Peretti's

The look is luxe, colorful and oh so affordable.

Create a stunning presentation for serving appetizers
or cocktails.  This Natural Stone Platter pleases with
emerald green quartz and edges dipped in sterling silver.
Especially striking, as shown, for showcasing treasured objects.

Oh lovely Lanvin!  This crystal box clutch will forever be in style, no
matter what is the color of the year. Get your sparkle on at Matches

Collin Cowie, party master extraordinaire, offers up sweet suggestions
on how a bride can inject this vibrant hue into her wedding decor!

Even Sephora has gone green with their own Pantone Universe Collection.
My fave of these vibrant picks is YSL's Liquid Eyeliner Moire in emerald. My experience with YSL cosmetics tells me this is a product that will work.....especially with my green eyes!

A touch of malachite is always right. Loving this Cuff
from Max and Chloe

More malachite.  It certainly looks beautiful with brass.
