Still in recovery mode at Shop This, so understand that posts may be a bit short and sweet for a little bit. Yesterday began NYFW, a very exciting time to be in fashion and in NYC. Mr. Shop This is there as I write, and I think something is wrong with that picture. It should have been me! So today I thought it was fitting to take a peek at what's in store. The truth is I like it all, except for a trend called "modest" dresses. What's that about? Next week we will take a deep dive into the Fall trends.

This jacket and bag took my breath away. It's cut from faux but fabulous shearling. Do click through to see this jacket from the back view. The cut is relaxed with dolman like sleeves. By the way, both shearling and mini bags are a thing this season. LOVE!

Oh the luxe looks this season at Lafayette! I loved many of the new looks but these two pieces are my favorites. That skirt is so unexpected with both sequins and pleats! You will see that they styled the skirt with an oversized sweater. I would prefer something more close fitting. The boots are just the perfect finishing touch. I need.
Escada Down Jacket & Pant
Oh what a look! Both pieces are very casually chic, and just what to wear on a Saturday afternoon shopping. The down jacket is beyond and quite Chanel-like. Love it all!
Long Frayed Tweed Duster
We always need a light layer for Fall. This fringed and fabulous topper is super versatile. Love it both for its' look and price point.
Akris Colorama
It looks like power suiting is here to stay, and these Akris pieces certainly take charge. This mix of patterns is not for the faint of heart, but it certainly will turn heads. I haven't seen a style like this is years.

I love a dress with personality. This marvelous midi says "day or night." It is the epitome of color block chic.
Ulla Johnson Jerri Boots
Animal print simply is not going away any time soon. Made from fur dyed haircalf, this style adds texture to any outfit. Love how these will update last season's black coat.
