You’ve saved the date. Now it's time find your wedding guest look. Getting dressed for a wedding is one of my favorite things to do. It's exciting because you are likely to see old friends and family. Dressing up is always a sign of respect to your hosts, the bride and groom, and the occasion. This pretty post will put you on the best dressed guest list for any type of wedding.
~ Black Tie & Black Tie Optional ~
Personally, I wear just about the same type of dress/pants to each one of these kind of weddings. Mr. Shop This always opts for a tuxedo, and we like to dress with the same vibe. These dress codes call for a very dressy look, and always means a tie for a man.
The most expensive of the edit, and of course, my favorite. Everything about the look is such a modern way to be formal. I would so wear this.
Theia Couture Gail Dress
Captivating florals create a spring and summer look perfect for cocktails and weddings.Neiman Marcus (on sale) or Saks
The highlight of this dress is the diaphanous organza sleeves. Price is relative, but I do think that this style looks more expensive than it is.
Pastel pretty! You'll shine all night long in this gorgeous gown.
~ Cocktail Chic ~
Cocktail attire is a bit wide in interpretation. Most likely your event is after 5PM. If it is just cocktails without dinner or dancing, one can be a bit more casual. If all of the above is included, then feel free to dress up.
Raegan Jumpsuit
The perfect jumpsuit! It's understated yet ready to party. I would add a little sparkle to my wrist and ears just to elevate the look
HalstonThe Rani
A classic tea length party dress. You could imagine Audry Hepburn or Grace Kelly wearing it, as easily as you could yourself. The shell pink is stunning.

Halpern Ombré Sequined Midi
One of my favorites of the edit. It's just so cocktail chic.
Andrea Iyamah Midi Sheath
This stunning sheath is perfectly nipped and tailored. The color green is wonderful!
~ Beach Chic ~
You will want to wear something cool and comfortable. Maxi's and midis are a chic choice because sandals work perfectly with most of them. Leave the sequins and daisy dukes at home.
Floral Print Jumpsuit
A tropical and terrific look for a beachside ceremony. It's a budget buy at under $100.
Proenza Schouler Draped Maxi
Sunset service? You are all set. You will be the most comfortable guest in this caftan-like maxi. Beach chic for sure.
Moda OperandiHellessy Skirt & Top
This outfit can really fit into most types of weddings. It's a bit pricey but oh so lovely. If you are packing for a destination wedding, the top is also great with jeans or other pants.
Farm Rio Monstera Jumpsuit
Heading to the tropics? This linen jumpsuit is party perfect.
Saks or Anthropologie~ Upscale Casual ~
I heard this term on television today. Anytime I hear the word casual, it worries me. So let's concentrate on the word "upscale." A good interpretation would be something better than you would wear everyday. It's likely a daytime event, so no rhinestones. Jackets without a tie for gentlemen. And certainly no jeans, unless it is a barn wedding.Cloud Burst Midi
What a radiant and elevated day look! Created from a linen blend, and it is just lovely.
Moda OperandiV. Chapman Lily Dress
The perfect balance of playful and sophistication. And who doesn't feel pretty in pink?
Larkyn Dress
Love the pop of color in this crisp cotton dress. You will wear this style over and over.
Sachin & Babi Jacqueline Maxi
For some, this dress would be an evening look. It's beautiful in cotton, but not a formal at all. I think it is perfect for an afternoon wedding. Loving the black tassels paired with the navy dress.
