The first day of autumn is a perfect day to bring back Wedding Wednesdays. If you are marrying this Fall, you are down to the final touches. If September or October, 2022 is your wedding date, begin here. Be inspired by the harvest hues, fluffy florals, and unexpected details.

If you are having a reception with over 25 people, you need to have a place card. These are one of my all time favorite choices. They will arrive handwritten to your specifications. Very chic!

Velvet Vow Books
One of my fave Etsy finds ever. Long after you speak your vows, these will become a forever heirloom.

The Wedding Cake of Cakes
Is this not gorgeous? It features all of the fall feels and then some. This perfect cake and the bakery that made it is from Jackson, NH. Lucky you if you live there. If not, take this photo to your bakery for inspiration.
Autumn Nomad

Guest interaction is fun at any party.  This photo backdrop is beautiful. It also is fabulous behind a cake table or bar.

Vermont Maple Syrup Favors
Favors for your guests are not a "must," but if your budget allows, they are very nice. These pretty containers are filled with syrup that is "the real thing."  Sold in lots of 24

Oscar De La Renta
Brilliant shades of beet red, watermelon pink, orange reminiscent of cantaloupe, and papaya celebrate the season. These styles are from his Spring Collection, but they sure do give me festive fall vibes for bridesmaids, bride or mother of
 the bride. Pre-order at

Hexagon Table Numbers
Do not depend on your wedding venue to have a good looking table number. They just don't. So supply your own. These are elegant, affordable, but simple. Also available in other colors, but gold is so good for autumn.

Fall Fashion For Your Home

Fall is certainly the best season for fashion. Most of us can't wait for sweater weather and a new pair of boots. It's also a good time to dress your home in the shades of the season and with terrific textures. Settle into September with decor and more that is oh so cozy chic.

Tweed Emphasize Throw
The easiest seasonal update to your home is a few new pillows and a tweed throw. This one features a nod to mid-century style. You may or may not know that every room should have a touch of black to anchor the space.

MacKenzie-Childs Pumpkins
A chic check is always in style no matter what the season.  You will find these porcelain pumpkins at

Faux Pampas Grass
When your garden roses fade, bring in the look of autumn with pampas grass. These stylish stems add some seasonal style, texture, and drama to
 your home.

Scented Candles
When it comes to scenting your home for fall, there are many choices. Few do it as well as Nest New York. For me the candle container is as important as the scent. This pretty pair will add a big dose of fall flair in your space. Shown here are Moroccan Amber and Pumpkin Chai.

Velvet Pillows
I love the way Widell & Boschetti layered  patterns and colors of these velvet throw pillows. It's a very cozy look that is still luxe.

Wave Tabletop Fire Bowl
Fire has such a calming effect. Set the mood while you set the table (indoors or out) with this unique fire element. It uses non toxic gel fuel. Love it!

Olivewood Serving Board
I was just at Adaline Restaurant in Chicago (excellent by the way), and they served dessert pastries on a wooden tray. We all loved the idea at the table.  These are just gorgeous. Available in three sizes.

Pelosa Sheepskin Ottoman
This piece has warm and fuzzy written all over it. Two of them are perfect at the end of a bed. Or use it as a place to perch your feet anywhere in your space. It's fab!

Blushing Garden Wreath
Consider using something marvelous in metal this season. These flowers will never fade or dry out.

Missoni Venere Throw
Missoni Home goods are a coveted collection, and carry a certain style status. This wool knit throw is now 25% off along with other Missoni products at
Horchow

Cowhide Chain Pouf
A home just can not have too many places to perch. These sophisticated and chic poufs are so very glam.  Best yet, they are on sale!

Fall Colored Tiny Tapers Set
Tall and lean, these chicly colored candles will cast a warm glow to your tablescape. 12 in a set of each color above. Lovely!

Rustic Modern
This cozy chic look is all about casual sophistication. From the floor up: Sweater Rug (how fab!) Balboa Swivel Chair, Faux Fur Throw, Hand Knit Pillow Cover.

Podevache Placemats
We will be bringing the meals inside soon. Time to dress the table. These Podevache placemats feature a great graphic pattern. Gorgeous with black, white, or wooden dinnerware.

Welcome to the last weekend of Summer. It's also my BFF, Mollie's, birthday. Sending love and wishes her way. How will you be spending these precious days? I hope that you will enjoy beautiful weather, with lots of fun in the sun. Before you get started, here's some links for cooking, drinking, shopping, and saving.

Though I am still wearing white (gasp), Vogue tells us that brown is trending big for Fall. I am not a huge fan, but it is very sophisticated when paired with black. A few examples of good styles in brown are Everlane's Half Zip Sweater,  Bottega Veneta's Chain Leather Tote, and Staud Tuli's Ballerina Flats.

Ingredient Spotlight: Apples

When it comes to seasonal ingredients, Autumn's apples win the prize. They are equally delicious served sweet or savory. This recipe roundup is picture proof that there are more ways to enjoy apples than just pie. But don't worry, scroll down for an awesome apple tart. Apples to apples, I think you will love this post.

Apple Cider Mojito
Hello Fall! What a perfect September sip. Spiced, vibrant, and slightly sweet, it has all the flavors of a classic rum mojito plus a hefty pour of apple cider.

Baked Brie With Apples & Bacon
I am not much of a cheese eater, but I find warm brie rather irresistible. It's gooey, rich, sweet and salty. Just perfect with a fall cocktail. This is a must make.

Caramel Apple Upside Down Cake
Interesting recipe fact - this cake calls for olive oil and not butter for the fat. The oil delivers a smooth and rich flavor without weighing down the cake. The batter is poured over homemade caramel and apples. Sounds divine!

Salted Apple Pretzel Pie
This is a pie recipe for the salty sweet lovers. And who isn't one? Soft pretzel dough takes the place of crust. How unique!!

Arugula Apple, And Goats Cheese Flatbread
This recipe can be called "almost homemade." It calls for a store bought flatbread crust. The perfect thing to serve at your kitchen island for dinner guests.

Cinnamon Roll Apple Cobbler
The title says it all. This cobbler is actually made with refrigerated "cinnamon rolls." The recipe is easy, delicious, and perfectly spiced. It's equally good at breakfast or dessert.

Butternut, Apple, and Goat Cheese Stuffed Pork Tenderloin
How can something be so easy when it looks this fancy? An impressive dish for sure, even company worthy!

Caramel Apple Tart
An apple pie without caramel is not worth eating to me. This beautiful tart consists of granulated sugar, water, sea salt, heavy cream, and butter.  That's it. Talk about a slice of heaven!

Crock Pot Ginger Rum Apple Cider
This cocktail has tailgate written all over it. Keep the spiced rum on the side, so your guests have a boozy and non-alcoholic option. I can only imagine how yummy it smells.

Apple, Caramelized Onion and Spinach Quesadilla
Now this is a game day snack if I ever saw one. It only takes 15 minutes of preparation. And doesn't caramelized onions make everything better?

Baked Apple Cider Doughnuts With Cinnamon Maple Glaze
To me, this is fall in a photo. Love that they are baked and not fried. Oh just Yum!

Pasta With Apples, Bacon, Sage & Chantrelle Mushrooms
Gluten & Dairy Free
I may have mentioned that I never eat pasta. Too many carbs and I shy away from gluten. This recipe would change all that. Can't you just smell the bacon and sage?

Baked Apple Bombs
Don't these just look like they are "the bomb?" The recipe author calls them the fireworks of fall! They are also easy and fun to whip up.
