Spend Autumn Outdoors

As the days grow shorter and cooler, we begin to say farewell to Summer. That doesn't mean we must go inside and hide. The Fall months are some of the best of the year. While many of us are home bound thanks to Covid, the least we can do is get out and enjoy the magic of Mother Nature.  This edit is filled with cozy chic finds that will allow the season to fall into place right at home.

Mercury Glass Gazing Balls
What a glamorous lighting solution! They come with a timer and are lit from within. Line a path to the front door, sprinkle them on the patio, perch them in planters on the porch. The colors are really so Autumnal.

are at night. They so remind me of the lanterns at the original
Tavern on The Green in NYC.

Rowan Dinnerware
Fabulous for Fall, indoors and out.  Terrific in teak, these dishes feature an organic shape and a gorgeous grain. They are affordable and just perfect for Autumn alfresco meals.

Did you know that MC's Courtly Check pattern is now 25 years old? I have a wonderful Tea Set from my friend, Sara.  I never tire of it. It's all made from enamel ( and break resistant) so it works inside or out. Pack yours up and go on a picnic, head to the lake or the back yard. Get inspired at

With all the Fall feels, this wreath will feel at home indoors or in a sheltered outdoor space, It also make a
perfect centerpiece.

Set the scene for fall with festive outdoor decor. Shop a variety of swings for indoor or out. I just love the mix of oranges and white, with a dose of animal print!

Pumpkin Spice Tea
What's an Autumn without the smooth sweetness of spiced pumpkin? This tea is warm and rich in flavor, with lingering cozy aromatics. Adagio Tea is my new favorite. I can't wait to try this flavor. Curling up in that swing above with a mug of this yummy tea sounds delightful!

Here we are at the edge of yet another season, with Covid19 still in our midst. Looks like the mighty mask will find itself at the head of the fashion accessory list once again. Well, we wear them because we care, right? No complaints from me. Fall colors and clothing do deserve a new mask or two. Hey! They are less expensive than a pair of shoes. This edit features some fun finds that will keep you and others safe, and well dressed.

Saturdays At Shop This:

So Sunday is to be the beginning of NYFW, and boy will it look different this year. You can watch the online shows and interviews  HERE.  The above pictured Carolina Herrera Mini Dress and wool Cape, made me smile. Oh to have somewhere to wear this look! It's 9/11 as I type this, and the social media images of that day still hurt my eyes. Today's links in this weekly wrap up are meant to be a little distraction from what we all are feeling.

Stretch out Summer a little longer: Here’s How to Style Your Favorite Summer Dress This Fall
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The most important fashion accessory of Fall just may be Stuart Weitzman's limited edition "VOTE" boots.  Only 100 pairs available, and 100% of net profits from the sale of these boots, will be donated to "I am a voter,"
 a nonprofit.

Puff Sleeves: They are trending hard this season. A beautiful example is Alice + Olivia's Lexia Midi in sizes 0-14. Play with prints and get the Diamond Magic Bordeaux Face Mask to wear with it, for a very designer look.

Hit Knits at Shopbop:  A few standout sweaters on my radar ~ 3.1 Phillip Lim Long Sleeve Ruffle Turtleneck  Brochu Walker's Lace V Looker Sweater,  and White + Warren's Block Stripe Cashmere Poncho, which has been
nicely reduced.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
One Step Prep:  Bobbi Brown's Face Base is my new favorite moisturizer. It's actually two products in one, as it serves as your primer, too. It's vitamin enriched with B, C, & E and Shea Butter. I have normal skin...not oily or dry.....and it is perfect for me. Best yet, Bobbi is offering 2 jars for the price of one right now. P.S. It smells like heaven,

Fall Flavors: I found a new tea last weekend, Adagio, Tea! It is superior to your average tea. They have a Fall sampler out (I just tried the Earl Grey in silk teabags). The flavors sound fab ~
autumn mist green - bonfire, pumpkin spice, and honeybush pumpkin chai.
Oh yum!

If you are a jewelry lover, (and who isn't?) do yourself a favor and visit Lulu Frost this weekend. You can save 40% sitewide, even on sale items. I love the unique vintage pieces.
Lots of good things!

Vintage Hermes by Heritage Auctions: Pre order by placing a 50% deposit on a chic collection of beautiful bags. It's fun window shopping!

Say what you want about her, but AOC sure has a great red lip, and those lips speak volumes! Get her look in Stila's "Besso."

Gosh I miss New York, and my New York Girl! Let's spend the weekend dreaming of the people and places we love.

Rosh Hashanah is Friday, September 18th, and signifies the beginning of Fall for many. It's a high holiday with a tradition of serving a festive meal for family and friends.  This recipe roundup filled with Fall flavors, is actually for anyone, celebrating or not. But for those serving , these dishes promise to help you to host this holiday with Chutzpah!

Apples & Honey Board
Let's call this dish apple and honey magic! Using an artisanal honey, adding honeycomb, fanning the apples, the honey dipper, all elevate this must
 have appetizer!
Rebekah Lowin

Pomegranate Sangria
It is traditional to eat pomegranates on Rosh Hashana because, with their numerous arils, they symbolize fruitfulness. This is the kind of fruitiness I can get into!

Seared Radicchio and Roasted Beets
Roasting beets over high heat yields charred skin—a nice balance with the sweet flesh. I decided to ignore the reviews, as this recipe is too beautiful not to serve.

Noodle Kugel With Caramelized Onions & Brown Butter
I happen to like kugel because the ones I have had were sweet. So this recipe is a bit more sophisticated with a savory take on the classic.
