Wedding Wednesday: Looks For The Mothers Of The Bride & Groom

Last week, my dear friend, Mollie, and I went dress shopping for her son's June wedding. We had the best time, and found the PERFECT dress in 27 minutes. Can you imagine that? Our trick was to find the dress that was most like her. There were three, and she picked the absolute best one.  That's my style advice for this shopping task. Buy what speaks to you, and makes you feel like the best version of yourself. If you are the mother of the groom, ask the bride's mother what she is wearing.  And finally, pick a complimentary color and style to the wedding party. You certainly want to compliment, not clash. This edit features something for every type of wedding, at all price points.

Of course, we all know that it's the bride's day.  But let's not forget the Mothers. They both dreamed of this day for their children. Moms want to look their very best, yet not upstage the bride. It's a tricky balance, but it can be done. It goes without saying that both Mom's need to consult with the bride and see what color the wedding party is wearing. Then, select a shade that compliments and not clashes with the color palette. I look forward to the day that I am the Mother of The Bride. Until then, I'll just window shop.
