New Year New Closets

Over the holiday, some of you went skiing, others headed South for some warmth and sunshine. I went back in time, inside my closets. Oh my!  This project was difficult (I have six closets), but it did spark joy!   After giving away 58 pairs of black pants, 55 pairs of pumps, and so much more, I now have new closets. These chic and clever closet organizers will give your own closets new life.

Velvet Hangers
Besides emptying every single item from each closet, these hangers are the most important piece any closet transformation. Clothing stays put, even silk pieces. They are a must! And be sure to hang everything in the same direction. The Container Store. or Pottery Barn where you can buy 50 for $59.

Handwoven Seagrass Baskets
These responsibly made and handcrafted baskets, are almost too good looking to hide away in a closet. But they would make me so happy when I opened the door to my charcoal grey closet cabinets. Use one for belts, stockings, socks, gloves, spare pillows and more. They are so attractive.

Closet Clutch Dividers
I am not a "bag lady" like one might think. I do have a handful of designer bags, but my favorites are always chic clutches. And I have a lot of them! I just ordered a couple of these. Will need more.

Linen Dresser Drawer Organizers
"The soft cotton-linen squares create different compartments for your undergarments, shirts and more, and make it so much easier to put delicates away," I need these!

Colleen Lopez Jewelry Storage
My jewelry closet is the downfall of my custom closets. Five shelves, not lit, without specific storage space for bracelets, rings, etc. These slim cases do more that store stylishly. They also keep your jewelry from getting tarnished, with a special treated lining. They come many colors.  I love that you can see what is in each case. Great for stacking, too!

Closet Inspiration & Storage Ottoman
The Calder Ottoman is cute, curvy, and cuddly. Covered in sheepskin, it is irresistibly nubby. Best yet, it's perfect in the dressing room for storing bed pillows, slippers, socks, and so much more. And doesn't everyone need a seat to put on boots? It's great and just so different.

Stacking Shoe Organizers
Shoes can be the death of any closet organization, if you let them. Step up your shoe game with these clearly chic stacking bins. They keep your shoes organized and dust free.

Children's Closet Dividers
A simple and darling way to organize the nursery closet.  The new baby usually receives so many gifts, and the clothing sizes range from newborn and up. I used these back in the day. Actually, they make a fabulous gift for any new parent. Lots of designs, even for little gentlemen.

Fun Closet & Wall Accessories
Pom Poms can add the fun to almost anything. Imagine opening your closet doors and seeing these poms pop out! The hooks are great on extra wall space inside or out of your closet. Darling for a kids space, but I would love them, too.

Marie Kondo Ink Black Serene Matte Metal Accessory Hanger
I am embarrassed to say how many scarves I own. After donating about 50 of them, I still have quite a collection. This is a very elegant solution for hanging and storing scarves, belts, and other slippery items. A $5 item that I think we all need.
