Celebrate Love & Luck In Red

Today we are celebrating love and luck. It is the Year of the Tiger and Valentine's Day is less than 2 weeks away. Not that I have anything against tiger print, but I prefer lucky red.  These pretty picks are sure to bring you good fortune, prosperity, and  luck in love!

Draped Chiffon Cocktail Dress
The sweetest sweetheart neckline adds to the look of this chic cocktail dress. It's expensive (very) and looks like it.

Blank NYC Faux Suede Blazer
I personally own one of their blazers, and love it. Mine is faux leather, and you just wouldn't know that it is not real. The double breasted style here is so good, and a little retro.

Alessi Plisse Electric Tea Kettle
They say that every kitchen should have a touch of red. This kettle makes a red hot statement. Also available in white and black.

Free People Activewear
Make every day a red letter day with the Free People Movement collection. Red is ready for action but they come in 13 other colors.
Free People

Goa Cutipol Cutlery
Having a Lunar New Year dinner? Set the table with these. Love the red and gold but they also offer 13 other color combinations.
Amara

Sleeper Party Pajamas Set
So fun, you will be tempted to wear them out. Perfect for Date Night In, or Dim Sum.

Haden Dorset 4-Slice Toaster
Tis retro inspired toaster will add a big dose of color and charm to the kitchen. It comes with every bell and whistle that you can imagine.

Lunar New Year Le Rouge Deep Velvet
Givenchy makes a beautiful lip product. The matte finish creates the prettiest pout, and the tube is terrific.

Lizza Chiffon Halter Gown
Back in the day, I would be all over this gown. Love the look.

In Chinese culture, during the Lunar New Year Celebration, friends and family give each other cash gifts in red envelopes. My favorite kind of envelope is studded like this!

Saturdays At Shop This

{ Via: Eugenia Kim }

A big hat can help you social distance on the beach. This summer, that's not necessary in Chicago. One of my views at home is a very empty and pristine Oak Street Beach.  It was open for one day during the pandemic. Sad but necessary.  While the Covid19 reports continue to be alarming, today's post will try to offer a little diversion. Enjoy and stay safe.

Have you been on a picnic yet this season? Here's the perfect accessory to bring ~ the Outdoor Zip-Up Picnic Blanket Tote. It unfolds to become a comfy water wicking outdoor blanket.
Less than $30.

How To Convince People to Wear Masks. We all know someone that won't wear one.  Read this compelling article at The Atlantic. Three words to remember:
They Save Lives!

And speaking of masks, here are some of my latest finds: Apparis has a fierce trio of animal print masks that are fun and adjustable. Shopbop has another trio of metallic masks that make a statement and ship for free.

Just add pearls! Stuart Weitzman's new embellished mules and sandals are
pretty special.

It's hot! Does all of this heat and humidity play havoc with your hair? Living Proof haircare has a solution. Receive 3 "No Frizz" deluxe samples with your $39 purchase. I personally use
this brand. While you are there, take the
hair quiz.

Black Friday in July: You may have heard about it. Macy's is offering big buys until the 13th. Some of my fave finds are my Charter Club 550 thread sheet sets in dark grey. Other colors available.  I love the weight and sheen. The Cuisinart
Onyx Black & Rose Gold 12 piece cookware set is so gorgeous and 52% off. And if you are looking for new kicks, Kate Spade's Glitter Lace Up Sneakers are great fun. I own them in black.
Now reduced from $85 to $24.99

The Serena & Lily Tent Sale is on! I look forward to it every year. There is something for every room in your home.

So far, 2020 has been a bust, and a year to remember or forget. This is especially true of the vacation season. Here's something to look forward to in 2021. The Zimmerman Resort Trunk Show. Such pretty things to take on next years' warm weather getaway. Shop it at
Moda Operandi

Ann Marie Skincare: It's a natural and organic skin care line that actually works. She is offering a  Sample Kit, three free serum samples, and their 21-day Skin Detox for $10.  The aloe Herb Cleanser is my fave. It’s perfect for trying a beyond-organic line. I LOVE it!

This looks like fun!  It reminds me of a really good quote ~ "Write your sad times in sand, Write your good times in stone. "
