The Thanksgiving Table: Elements Of Style

I like to treat my guests not only to a good meal, but a beautiful table. It always makes them feel special. And no matter how your food turns out, a terrific tablescape camouflages everything. Here are some stylish elements that will help create your

own look.

~ Lovely Linens ~

Linens set the tone for your table. To me, they are the most important part of a tablescape. Here's some pretty picks.

Kim Seybert Ethereal Placemat & Napkins

Inspired by watercolor painting, Kim has taken silver and gold bugle beads and created art for your table. The matching linen napkins create a stunning natural look.

Horchow

Artesia Placemats

If you prefer to set a casual table, these are wonderful, sophisticated, and affordable, too.

Crate and Barrel

Villeroy & Boch Brushstroke

Linens

Linen napkins and placemats have been treated with metallics for a elevated look to any table. Also available in silver. Now on sale at...

Joanna Buchanan Linens

Don't be afraid to take a deep dive into color any time of the year. Joanna knows how to do it. Get the look below.

Gold Trim Napkins in Ten Colors

Hand Beaded Camouflage Placemats

~ Candlelight ~

A table without candlelight is like a a day without wine. It's doable but not as wonderful. Besides, everyone looks better in candlelight. These candles will set your table and your guests aglow.

Fall Colored Tapers Set Of 12

Imagine your table with the warmth of candles in seasonal colors. The tapers are tiny in width but 10 inches tall. Just perfect in a grouping. At less than $18 they make a great host gift, too.

Sauce Server

I have several "so called" gravy boats, but none are glass. For a big dinner you could use this server in multiples. One for gravy, one for cranberry sauce, one for the caramel sauce that goes with the apple pie.

Crate and Barrel

The House of Scalamandré Oval Platter

I thought that this Scalamandré line of dishware was so pretty that I included it in the Perfect Presents For Entertainers gift guide. Wouldn't your Thanksgiving Turkey or Holiday Ham look fabulous on it? Sold only at...

Botanical Serving Utensils

Together these shiny servers are perfect for salads. Used individually, they work for the mashed potatoes or Brussel sprouts.

West Elm

~ Oven To Table Cookware ~

Unless you are plating from the closed off kitchen, your cookware does make a difference. Those disposable aluminum cooking containers aren't so appealing on a buffet or dining table. Food just looks better when pleasantly presented.

MacKenzie-Childs Cookware

Chic checks are so good in a black and white kitchen, These also would accent white or black table linens. Really fabulous!

Amara

Le Creuset Dutch Oven

Aren't these lovely? They go from oven to table to freezer. And this specific shade with gold knobs is a Crate and Barrel exclusive. Many other shades available, as well.
Crate and Barrel

Staub Pumpkin Cocotte

Serve almost anything in this perfect pumpkin. I own the smaller ones, which are not available. Pumpkin Soup anyone? It will serve sweet potatoes just as well.

Sur La Table

Boska Oven-to-Table Ceramic Baker

What a handy and beautiful little baker. Perfect for those warm cheese dips. But also great on a buffet to keep the veggies and potatoes warm. It features an under $25 price tag, which makes it even more appealing. I can see several all lined up.
