Today's cane is not your Grandmother's cottage decor. More than shabby chic, it leans towards modern sophistication. I happen to have a beautiful Baker cane chair in storage, that I haven't seen in over 25 years. After shopping for this edit, a revisit is in order. My favorite is the Four Hands June Chair below.

If you have seen a classic Chanel jacket, then you know what boucle fabric is. It's textured, comfy, and I think quite elegant. My mother-in-law, Laura, had the most stylish sectional I had ever seen. It was all done in white boucle. The trend has made a huge resurgence this year.  While most of us are staying home more, it might be time to add some boucle to your own space. Here's some fab finds.

Unless you have been living on a black cloud, you most likely have head that the Pantone Color of 2014 is Radiant Orchid. Described as a "captivating harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones," by the  company’s executive director, Leatrice Eiseman, this color indeed radiates excitement!
