What To Cook In Your Slow Cooker Or Instant Pot

{ Via: Williams Sonoma }

Am I the only one that has not tried an Instant Pot? In a nutshell, an instant pot is really just a modernized pressure cooker. It's quick and rather healthy cooking. The slow cooker has been around since the early crock pot days. I have had one for that long. It is easy hands free cooking. These 12 recipes, along with  Insta Pots and Slow Cookers are meant to get us all out of the kitchen faster and  easier.

Slow Cooker Saucy Sunday Bolognese Pasta

Sunday pasta. Now that's a concept that "Mr. Shop This" enjoyed as a child. Maybe it is time I embrace the tradition. This recipe begins with browning the meat in a separate pan. It is a necessary step. A beautiful bowl, right?

Half Baked Harvest

Instant Pot Salmon & Mashed Potatoes
A recipe doesn't get any easier than this. You get a protein and a side in 4 minutes in one pot. Sounds too good to be true. But this picture is worth

1,000 words.

Foxes Love Lemons

Cuisinart Pressure Cooker

This little cooker features low and high pressure settings. It also browns, simmers, sautes, and keeps food warm. Best yet, it's on sale.

Sur La Table

Best Instant Pot Rice Pudding

My Father loved rice pudding. My poor Mom tried and tried to make it like his own Mother made it, without much success. I have never had much luck either. This recipe promises perfect texture and creaminess in just 30 minutes.

Sweet and Savory Meals

Slow Cooker Pineapple Pulled Pork

Pulled pork is the other dish I have cooked in my slow cooker. It really is perfection for pork. But this recipe had me at pineapple. Doesn't it look delish?

The Modern Proper

Instant Pot Jambalaya
This recipe has been lightened up with chicken sausage instead of greasy chorizo. Yet, still, it is filled with a delicious depth of flavor.

Feasting At Home

Instant Pot Peanut Butter Cheesecake With Chocolate Crust

If you dig peanut butter and chocolate (who doesn't?) and love a good cheesecake, this may be a reason to buy an instant pot.

Food52

Pressure Cooker Accessory Kit

If you are going to attempt the cheesecake above, you'll need these tools. Only at

Williams Sonoma

White Wine Braise Short Ribs With Buttered Mushroom Cream Sauce

This recipe keeps it cozy while being a touch fancy. The ribs are slow cooked in white wine with fresh herbs. A must try.

Half Baked Harvest

Instant Pot Lasagna

My first thought was how does this pasta keep its' shape? It's the springform pan that you build the layers in. And to raise it up in your pot, you use a trivet. Genius.

Amy & Jacky Pressure Cooker Recipes

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Chili

Chili is what I use my slow cooker recipe for the most. This recipe looks so good with the trimmings, it almost doesn't matter what the chili tastes like. Not really. It's said to be filled with all of the buffalo chicken fabulous flavors.

How Sweet Eats

Cuisinart Programable Slow Cooker
This powerful slow cooker is intuitive and programable. The ceramic cooking pot heats evenly, which is important. It's also on sale by 50%!

Sur La Table

Slow Cooker Chocolate Chip Cookie

Now this may convince me to branch out in my slow cooking! The best part of this recipe is there is no need to turn on your oven, break out the cookie pans, or dirty your cookie scoop. I'm in!

Food52

Instant Pot Thai Coconut Clams

These Thai-inspired clams are salty, tangy, and rich from the coconut milk. With the help of an instant pot, now you can have Thai at home even faster than delivery.

Epicurious

Slow Cooker Coq Au Vin

This is a timeless French recipe that delivers comfort with every bite.

Leite's Culinaria

Instant Pot Chicken Tortilla Soup

Actually, this zesty recipe can be made either in the Instant Pot or Slow Cooker. See recipe for those details. Most importantly,  it is loaded with corn, black beans, shredded chicken and topped with crunchy baked tortilla strips. YUM!
