Make Me A Margarita & Some Guacamole, Too!

Cinco de Mayo is this Sunday. That calls for a recipe roundup. Today we are talking margaritas and guacamole. They are a delicious duo, and one of my favorites. I have searched the internet to find the best and most interesting recipes for you. Think margarita guacamole, burning blueberry sage margaritas and more! Enjoy and ole!

Foodie Friday Fabuloso!

It's Cinco De Mayo, so of course, we must celebrate with a margarita (or two), and some fabulous Mexican recipes. We at Shop This headquarters enjoy cooking Mexican meals any day of the week.  Here's a recipe roundup of fabuloso food. OlĂ©.

Smoking Blackberry Sage Margarita
Just when you think a margarita is good enough on its' own, enter the smoking type. I have had one without the blackberry. It not only was delicious, but oh so fun, too.

Lobster Tacos with Green Onion Cilantro Sauce
This recipe is my pick of the round up. I also think that it could be my "last meal" wish. It has a good deal of ingredients, but so worth it!

Peach Mango Salsa
If you don't make your own salsa, you are missing out on some fabulous freshness. This recipe with the sweetness of the fruit, the zest of the citrus, and spice from the Jalapeno must be a so good.
Pizzazzerie

Strawberry Hibiscus Ginger Margarita
The most important part of any Mexican meal....a really good margarita! This one is a beauty, and quite unique. It's made with hibiscus tea of all things! You can buy dried hibiscus at Amazon

The Best Guacamole You Ever Had
Well, that's saying a lot, isn't it? But this recipe has a "secret sauce" or ingredient which is Worcestershire sauce! And to add a little crunch, there is bacon. Let's not forget the chopped onions, tomatoes, hot sauce, lime and more. I think this recipe sounds like a winner.

Mexican Street Style Jalapeño Dip
I think that I have mentioned before, I am not a fan of serving dips to a crowd. All of that double dipping! But I would certainly prepare this for my family. It's siad to be smoky, spicy, and very special.
Half Baked Harvest

Baja Fish Tacos
The coating on the fish is said to be the secret to this winning recipe. It stays crispy from the first bite to the last. It looks so fresh, doesn't it?

Cilantro Lime Rice
Isn't this a pleasantly presented dish? It's true, we eat with our eyes, and I am digging in. Why would anyone eat plain white rice again, when you can have this?

Pineapple Mezcal Cocktail
I recently watched Mezcal being made on a CNN special. It's fascinating. The process is why it has such a smoky flavor. If you wish to know more about the differences between Mezcal and Tequila, HERE is a good source. You'll find the cocktail recipe at...
The Feed Feed

Taco Salad
This is how I eat tacos. No tortilla unless I am at a Frontera Grill in Chicago where they are warm, homemade, and fabuloso! This recipe doesn't miss a beat.

Dulche de Leche Cheesecake
This recipe creates a creamy cheesecake that is both sweet and salty. The perfect combination for desert in my book. The dulche de luche is sweet like caramel sauce. The longer it cooks, the richer it becomes.

Low Carb Fish Taco Bowls
It's made with Mahi Mahi but I am sure you could substitute your favorite white flaky fish.

Mexican Chicken Tortilla Soup
My favorite soup! It might be all of the fixings that finds me loving it. This is a relatively easy recipe. Give it a try!

Frozen Margarita
This recipe is included because it is not made with a mix. Most frozen margs are. It sure looks delish!

Chicken & Goat Cheese Enchiladas
Goat cheese adds a sophisticated taste to everything. This dish is really quite simple to make.
Mexican Chocolate Donuts
What a yummy way to start or end Cinco de Mayo! These sinful treats are a beautiful combination of dark chocolate and spice.

Margaritas, Mexican Food & Moms

Yes, I know that Cinco de Mayo was yesterday, but this Mom could have a margarita and a Mexican meal any day of the year. So for Mother's Day, I present some marvelous Mexican dishes and drinks that will spice up any mom's day.

Blood Orange Margarita
I have made margs with blood oranges several times. Besides being delicious, they are so vibrant in color. You feel as if you are having a fiesta!

Mexican Shrimp Cocktail
At first glance I thought this was a loaded Bloody Mary. Add tequila and then we could call it a drunken shrimp cocktail!

Chicken Street Tacos With Mango Slaw
A crunchy, sweet, tangy lime-mango slaw take these chicken street tacos over the top!

Banana Leaf Grilled Fish with Coconut-Cilantro Sauce
What an impressive platter! The banana leaf imparts a slightly sweet and grassy flavor to the fish. Since this recipe is grilled, they also protect the fish while it is cooking.

Watermelon Margaritas
These chic cocktails are proof that presentation is everything! These are fresh, sweet, and made in a blender.

The Best Shrimp Tacos
Fresh and delicious with a slightly spicy avocado crema. I think I will try this.

Chicken Taco Soup
What a perfect soup to make anytime, but especially on a rainy spring day. This soup is topped off with cheese quesadilla croutons. YUM!

Shrimp and Chorizo Mixed Grill
The creamy dipping sauce sounds divine.
Epicurious

Pink Champagne Strawberry Margaritas
Pink champagne adds a festive flair to these margaritas! Yes, please!

Sun Dried Tomato Bacon Guacamole
I love making a good thing even better by switching up ingredients. This recipe is filled with sweet, salty, and tangy texture.

Tres Leches Cake
The name of this cake means three milks. And true to the name, three different types of milk get poured over this butter cake. Serve it chilled with lots of whipped cream. Love the individual servings.

Instant Pot Mexican Rice
A true Mexican meal will always have a rice dish. This one looks better than most. It's all about the colorful ingredients!

Sweet Potato and Black Bean Mexican Salad
Here's an easy colorful, and healthy salad. Roasted sweet potatoes are a good duo with the veggies. Opposites attract. It can be topped off with a yummy creamy avocado dressing.

72 Handmade Tamales
You guys, these are delicious, and make the best gift. Send them to mom for your next family affair. My extended family loved them over the holidays.
Neiman Marcus

Spiked & Spicy Mexican Mocha Ice Cream
Finding this recipe on a sushi blog was a shock. If you love coffee ice cream, you will adore this recipe. It's infused with tequila!!

Easy Skillet Chicken Tinga Enchiladas
To quote Tieghan, the recipe author: "The most delicious smells, a bubbly sauce, and melty cheese await you as you pull this out of the oven."

Create A Fajita Bar
Now this is a fiesta! Your guests will love helping themselves with this array of Mexican meats, veggies, cheese and dips. Lots of inspiration.

Jorge's Green Chilaquiles
This is a dish I have never tried, let alone made. Chilaquiles are made of crispy corn tortillas cooked in red or green salsa. This recipe features a new twist. Click through to learn more.

Williams Sonoma Margarita Mixes
Get some of these for Mom or your own next party. With flavors like Coconut Lime, Skinny Pineapple, Prickly Pear Lime (oh so good) these mixes turn any cocktail hour into a celebration!

Firecracker Berry Margarita Floats
An all American cocktail that is part drink and the best part dessert. But why wait until the 4th, when you can enjoy this right now?
