Foodie Friday: Spring Parties - There's An App For That! - Recipes & More

(Via One Kings Lane)

Oh sweet Spring! After this Winter, I think we are all ready to soak up the sunshine and warmer weather. I am ready to celebrate almost anything. A cocktail and an appetizer always does the trick for me. I have gathered a stylish selection of  lighter but fancy fare, and presentation pieces that are party perfect for your next Spring soiree.  Cheers!

Prawn Cerviche Verde
I love the upscale look of individual appetizers.  My "hostess with the mostest," good friend, Kelly, often serves this way at her stylish soirees.  This recipe is both refreshing and said to be very simple to create. Love the edible flower garnish, too!

You can find mini appetizer/dessert service cups at Amazon

Justina Blackeney Mango Mojito
I love everything about this cocktail, from the name to the Moroccan Highball glasses in which it is served. Get the recipe and all the fix'ns at

Oyster Rockefeller
Know your audience before serving this super chic dish. If you want to impress, this is what you offer the boss, an important client, or the future in-laws.
Gourmet Traveller

Grilled Caprese Toast
Gorgeous, right? With grilled avocados Burrata cheese, Heirloom tomatoes and Balsamic vinegar, one cannot go wrong. The idea of serving this recipe on a board is attractive, too.  I found a beautiful wooden serving board at AHALife.
Half Baked Harvest

Tuna Tartare on Potato Chips
I would have never thought about serving one of my favorite foods on a chip! This is just such a stylish idea, that it is a must try. I might add that using a specialty chip is a good idea.

Smoked Salmon Canapes
When throwing a party, it is a smart move to throw in a few easier recipes, just to cut down on time. This app takes less than 10 minutes to assemble, yet looks so elegant. Note the color of the flowers matches the salmon. Love that!
Food Apprentice

Kate Spade Melamine Tray
Yes please! In true Kate Spade style, this whimsical tray will make your guests smile. Party perfect in or outdoors. It is nicely priced, making it a great gift for the hostess.

Manhattan Sea Breeze
A preppy chic cocktail in shades of pink and green.
Midtown Girl

Ginger-Miso Sweet Pea Spread
{ Dairy Free}
How beautiful! A lovely alternative to creamy dips.

Crispy Zucchini and Potato Pancakes
Here's a recipe of Giada De Laurentiis. These little squares look and sound delicious. The marscapone piped on top is the icing on the pan -"cake." Watch the video at

This three ingredient appetizer is the perfect blend of savory and sweet. Very easy, too!

Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Toast
A spin on the traditional. Isn't everything better with bacon? Looks like a perfect bit.

 Porcelain Plates & Serving Pieces
Rosanna always offers terrific tabletop dinnerware and serverware. Calypso is bright and ever so right for Spring. Fun to mix and match.
Classic Hostess

Feta Dip With Watermelon Radishes
I have never knowingly had a Watermelon Radish until this week at Mariposa, Neiman's restaurant They were mild and gorgeous. What a fabulous idea for dipping.
Bon Appetit

Red Potatoes With Tomato-Avocado Salsa
Most people love guacamole, so it is always a winner. This recipe elevates your average avocado into a beautiful bite.
Pop Sugar

Grosgrain Border Cocktail Napkins
Cute paper napkins can be fun, but nothing beats a proper cotton or linen napkin. These are a bright way to add life to the cocktail table.
Mark & Graham

Cantaloupe, Mozzarella, Prosciutto & Basil
Talk about Spring pastels! What a pretty platter these basics create. It's all about the presentation!
Martha Stewart

Artichoke Pesto and Lemon Ricotta Crostini
I love a good homemade pesto, don't you? Working with artichokes can be tricky, but don't worry, these are trouble free. The recipe calls for frozen artichoke hearts. The end result is just so fresh for Spring.
