Foodie Friday: You Say Tomato ......

Any way you say it, Summer Tomatoes are ripe for the picking, right now.  As our Summer is winding down, tomatoes are in abundance and at their best.   As a child, I loved to take a salt shaker to the garden and eat them from the vine under the warm Summer sun.  There are all types of these American beauties, but my favorite is the Heirloom variety. I find their odd shape and inconsistent coloring just beautiful.  The recipes featuring tomatoes are almost endless. And it has been lots of fun editing my list to 18 juicy and colorful recipes.
