When it comes to weddings, it's all about the details. The bridal garter is mostly undercover but it is a lovely extra.  Traditionally, there is the garter toss at the reception. I did it, and I wore two garters. One to keep and one to toss. The worry was that "Mr. Shop This," might take off the wrong one. He did it right. My ivory silk garter with blue silk ribbons remains in my undie drawer, after all of these years.
