The college countdown is upon us. I remember vividly the process., and loved helping "Miss Shop This" create her dorm style.  There are several steps that help the decorating begin and end without a hitch. For a coordinated look, communicate with your roomie before school begins. Then you can decide on a color 
theme together.

Check with the school's mail room, and see if they will accept packages you send before your arrival. Bard College was most helpful with this. If your school does not, Target can help by allowing you to order online now, and then pick up later close to campus. See how to do this here, and save 15%.  Get a wheeled dolly! Those boxes are heavy, especially three flights up. And most importantly, those dorm beds are just not good. A featherbed is a must! Macy's has some on sale.
