Foodie Friday: Donut Lover Recipes & More

Clearly I have sugar on my mind. Funny thing, after 19 days without it, I am not dying for it anymore. Just remember the pleasure of it all, and my body feels so much better.  So are you a donut lover? The "Shop This" family is, and "Mr. Shop This" went a little cray cray last weekend, when he saw a sale on donut fixings at Sur La Table. Now we are the proud owner of a donut pan, and several mixes which I plan to try out this weekend for my weary traveller. I've added a couple of recipes for dunking the donuts, too. Enjoy!

Foodie Friday: Italian Recipes & More


This post is by request. My Italian husband loves his pasta. Marrying into his family was a tall order for me. His Grandmother Ida, actually rolled out her dough on her bed to create her fresh pasta! His mother, like Millie Helper (Dick Van Dyke show) shared her red gravy recipe with me, missing a major component....bullion!  I have since created my own magic and secret ingredients for good Italian food. The most important of all is LOVE! This post is for all of you Italian food lovers, and in celebration of 
Columbus Day.
