Haute Handbag Trend:Top Handles

One of my favorite bag trends this season. The Top Handle Bag is classic and classy, ladylike and luxe. Most of all it's feminine. I might add it's expensive, too. This trend was a bit difficult to offer in affordable styles. I did find two bags that are cute and under $100. Though it was tempting, I spared us all the lure of anything over $500.

Celebrating Giorgio Armani

 

As I write this post, it was just announced that Giorgio Armani has passed at the age of 91. The news shocks the fashion industry. It also hits hard at the "Shop This" household. We have a closet full of vintage Armani. Our little Yorkie was even named Armani.  Here's my way of celebrating his life. It feels right to wrap up this week honoring a man of such style!

The Power Suit: I was so into that era of dressing. Mr. Armani was the best at the style, and still is.  Above is Cate Blanchet at the Venice Film Festival. The look is just so divine.

Upton Line Silk-Blend Tuxedo Jacket: The epitome of sophistication for the modern man. "Mr. Shop This" had an incredible experience at The Armani Shop in Rome. He had three suits tailored for him by men in spotless white coats. Then they delivered them to our hotel 24 hours later. They just appeared in our room. So amazing!

These shadows, from my new favorite brand, will stay in place all day without creasing. They are radiant yet subtle. To achieve the toasty look, I reccomend Canyon Clay, a rustic brown red.
