Shouldn't every day be Earth Day? Like all things in life, baby steps often lead to great strides. Today's post is all about products, designers, and stores that promote awareness of the earth we all live on together. Be it skincare products without hazardous chemicals, organic and fair trade linens, or life in the Deep Oceans, it is all important. I do hope that today's post helps you to help the world by supporting companies that make a difference.
Fair Trade Amber Himalayan Salt Lamps: This is very cool. Equal parts home decor and wellness tool, this Himalayan salt lamp (made from 250 million-year-old ancient salt crystal) emits an ambient glow and negative ions which naturally recharge the air and allergens. The wellness aspect of Himalayan Sea Salt are boundless. I use it exclusively at home.

Happy Place Laundry: Home laundry products without dyes or harsh chemicals. We are exposed to enough harmful chemicals every time we walk out the door, so try not to bring any into your home that you don’t have to. We must realize that what we bring into our personal environment undoubtedly ends up inside our bodies in one way or another. See it at Beekman 1802.

EWG VERIFIED™: This is where you should turn to when looking for the best and most dangerous skincare for yourself and your family. I highly recommend it for researching suncare products. It's not the sun that is hurting you, it is the chemicals in the sunscreen! Happy to say that Juice Beauty's Sport Sunscreen is rated one of the the lowest danger risks for our bodies.

Celebrate Earth Day With A Special Message From Stella McCartney. Barney's New York featured this video last year, but it is so good that it is worth repeating. The video highlights the simple steps you can take to consider the environment when caring for garments.

Postcards from the Deep Ocean by a Veteran Filmmaker: The Ocean is captured in a film called Oceans: Our Blue Planet, Watch it, when it is released in select theaters around the world this Spring. Read about it at goop. The movie is based on a simple idea, that if we don't know what the ocean holds, we won't care. But if we do know about the creatures and their ecosystems, we just might care.
