It's Golden Globe Sunday, as I write this post. Along with the word "Golden," the word "glam" comes to mind. Not a celebrity attending, presenting, or walking the Red Carpet, arrived without the help of their own "Glam Squad." Most of us can not have our own personal stylists, makeup artists, and hairdressers at our beck and call. Truth is, we don't need them. The goal is to look youthful, radiant, and natural. All that is necessary to get glam are the right products and tools. Here's how.
~ Beauty Is Only Skin Deep ~
Kate Somerville
One of the busiest girls in tinsel town this season is skin expert and industry pioneer, Kate Somerville. I have long been a devotee of her products. They work and have the best packaging and delivery system. Kate's Age Arrest Facial Mask was found to be the best for Tighter Skin by editors of Harper's Bazaar. Learn about her skincare regime and philosophy via an interview on the Nordstrom Beauty Blog. You can see her entire skincare line at Kate Somerville

~ The Right Tools ~
Spas and Dermatologists have a machine, it seems, for every line, wrinkle, dark spot or imperfection there is. Thanks to technology, these tools, now can be ours. Barneys New York has a great round up of facial fixers like Clarisonic, Nuface, Tria Beauty and more. See all of the cool tools HERE
And then there are these must have helpers.....
Hakuho-do + Sephora Pro Brush Collection
Every brush in this collection sold out as soon as it hit the shelves at Sephora. They are back in stock and worth considering if you are in the market for a new brush, like me. Said to be as soft as cashmere, these terrific tools will give you a precise application and more control of your application.

Harry Josh Pro Hair Tools
Harry's name keeps popping up whenever there is a hair article. In fact Allure Mag has named his Pro Dryer as an Allure Beauty Award Winner in 2015. You can see the collection at

Tweezerman Gold Stars Set
A star can not afford to have a pesky hair appear out of no where, and neither can you. The slant nose tweezers are the very best I have tried. Love the eyelash curler, as well. If you aren't using a curler, you should be. And always be prepared for your close up with this 15X magnified and lighted mirror. This set gets 4 gold stars from me.Neiman Marcus
Show Premier Dry Shampoo
What do you do when something important pops up but you haven't washed your hair? Use a few sprays of this new dry shampoo for an instant pick me up and lots of volume. The secret ingredient? Tapioca. Net-A-Porter can't keep it in stock. See a video at

Body Of Work: Glam Gams & Dewey
Decollete
With all of the off the shoulder gowns and slits up to "there," a good deal of skin is showing on any Red Carpet. Spray tans are a must for some, but you and I can get the look with products that glow, conceal, slim and illuminate. Applying highlighter down the middle of your legs is an old trick for making legs look longer. One of the best is Charlotte Tilbury's Supermodel Body Slimmer Shimmer. Laura Geller's Baked Body Frosting has a cult following. It's in powder formula making it easy to use.

So far,I agree with Sephora, the Golden Globes beauty winners are...deep berry lips, attention-demanding smoky eyes, and laid back hair. Sometimes too laid back hair!
