Fall Trend: Swinging Sixties. Can You Dig It?

(Via Elle)

The Sixties were a breakout decade for fashion.  I barely remember most of it, but Twiggy was my role model for all things Mod Squad and beyond into the seventies.  So I was excited to see this trend of mini skirts, knee high boots, and flower power.  Grounded in clean lines, geometric shapes, bold colors and minimalism, this is one groovy trend.

Here: 12 Looks To Go Go

Ted Baker Swing Dress
What fun! Ponte knit adds substance to the bow-bedecked sheer overlay on this chic little dress.

Studio Pollini
Contrast Booties
Glam and glossy, these boots are made for walking with any swing dress. Sure to be comfy with the low stacked heel and elastic inserts.

Courreges Plexiglass Cuff
There wasn't a brand more mod that Courreges. When I was young, I dreamed about owning one of their designs. These cuffs are really super fabulous.

Tory Burch Convertible Cape Jacket
A jacket that can be worn with or without the cape. It’s a ladylike take on a classic, with a nod to swinging Sixties chic, Pre-order it in Navy at Nordstrom's or in Grey from Tory Burch.

Orla Kiely
Mod to the nth degree and coolly chic! Sheepskin leather and ever so on trend for Fall.
Muse Ten

Band Of Outsiders
You have to have a shaggy faux fur if you are channeling the sixties or seventies.  Very glam rock!
