July is National Ice Cream Month. President Reagan declared it so, 30 years ago in 1984.  Just the name brings back fond memories of the sound of the ice cream truck.  Do you remember running inside, and begging your mom for change? Lucky for me, my Mother liked ice cream as much as I, so she always found the change. But when Mr. Softee wasn't around, we made our own ice cream.  And there was nothing like it. These days, I rarely indulge, but if I was to get tempted, I'd pick one of these confections, with a serving of hot fudge on the side.
