Skirting The Issue: Maxi Skirts To The Rescue

I have an issue. Love the look of
a Maxi Dress, but the best ones are
sleeveless. At my age, this is not a good look. So, this season, I am
"skirting the issue," and looking for a Maxi Skirt instead. It's a brilliant solution. One can achieve the
Boho look of a Maxi, and wear the sleeve of your choice. I couldn't wait to get shopping.  Here:
my fave finds.

Brunello Cucinelli's
Jersey-Waist Striped Maxi Skirt is
a marvelous modern mix! On sale, too.

Adrienne Vittadini's romantic
maxi is fresh and modern, but certainly
not trendy.  Lovely for classic girls.

Bold black and white stripes make this skirt totally on trend. Love how they paired it with red. The result is color blocked chic.

Simply elegant in viscose. I can see this
skirt going dressy or casual depending on
the shoe. In black and white.

Paul Smith's Red/Navy/White Pleated Maxi Skirt will take you to the 4th of July and
beyond. A sophisticated look.

Sans the bare midriff, I love this look.
Lotta Stensson's Maracana Silk Skirt
is a luxe way to go Boho.

Easy breezy. This Suzette maxi looks
soft and comfy. I love it in charcoal.

Jean Paul Gaultier's
Winter Garden Tulle Tiered Maxi Skirt.
Oh how do I love thee? Simply fabulous!

Exclusive to Free People, the Lydia Maxi
is ruffled with Bohemian style. Add a
little sleeve and I love the whole look.

And finally, my perfect piece.  Exclusive
to Saks, Fashion Star's Skirt/and or/
Strapless Dress by Silvia Arguello is
genius! The sleeves can removed and the
dress can be worn as a skirt or strapless
dress. Voila!
