Effortless Alfresco Dining With Disposable Dishes, Etc.

A pretty table is always a goal for me, indoors or out. It's finally alfresco dining time, and washing dishes after a lovely evening outside, isn't the most fun. Why not entertain effortlessly with
disposable dishes?

Water Color Plates
Almost too pretty to cover up with food. These plates have been hand painted by designer Mitzie Wong. Very special.

Disposable Utensils
Have you ever? These pretty plastic utensils will add the finishing touch to any table setting.

Mod Boheim Mariposa Party Plates
Oh my! These are garden party perfect. Modern yet very graceful.

Monstera Tropical Placemats
Oh the things you can do with these. Just use your imagination, and create a tropical tablescape.
Prim and Party

Flamingle Dinner Napkins
These are fun and fab even if you aren't single and ready to mingle.
Little Details Party

Tropical Party Plates
From luaus to lazy lanai days, these pretty plates add a pop of color to
 the party.

Crystal Cut Plastic Glasses
Perfect for patio cocktails. So good you just may not want to toss them.

Hester & Cook Paper Placemats
These placemats will bring forth some juicy conversation at your next
alfresco meal.

Palm Leaf Plates
I used these last Summer, and felt good about it. They are 100% biodegradable and eco friendly.

Courtly Checks
For the collector. The plates are now on sale. The napkins work well with the plates or even with  white dishes.

Black and Cream Plates
Chic checks mixed and matched with old world florals and a touch of gold. How very pretty.

Black & White Paper Plates
Black and white is always right. And these geometric shapes add up to cosmopolitan chic.

Elegant Dinner On The Deck
Dress the deck for company! Your guests will be impressed. I happen to own the placemats. They are fab and made of coated paper, but very durable. Find them at Target. The dishes are from....

Animal Print Tableware
I'm wild about this look. Super good on a wooden table, but fun wherever you use them. The touch of gold elevates the spots. The wine glasses are good!

From the sounds of things, weddings are back on! We have already received one invitation for this summer. Have you any in your future? I look forward to a chance to get dressed up. For many of us, it's been a while. This elegant edit takes you from the micro wedding in the park, to the downtown dance floor.

The details are delicious on this botanical beauty. The hand cut butterflies are not free, in this instance, but they are so worth the price. Love how it is styled with booties. A very modern approach!

Here Comes The Sun: Sunscreen, Sunglasses, and Sun Hats

I am a sun lover. Are you? Its' warmth and vitamin "D" is so good for us, if you take the proper precautions. By that I mean, wear sunscreen, (scroll down for a comparison of mineral verses chemical) sunglasses, and a sun hat if you want to shade your face. This post features all of these sunny accessories.  They will elevate any look, and have you looking chic in the heat.

Countersun Sunscreen
This selection of mineral sunscreen is  formulated without any harmful chemicals and words you cannot pronounce. Yet, they offer an effective shield from damaging UVA and UVB rays. I am going to try the tinted mineral mist this season.

Sugar Oversized Square Sunglasses
Bold, oversized, and affordable. Available in seven stylish colorways.

Mirabel Sun Hat
A timeless and sophisticated style from the hat maven herself, Eugenia Kim. LOVE!

Daily Deflector Mineral Sunscreen
New and 100% Mineral! This sunscreen provides UVA and UVB protection, along with blue light. Bonus: It has no added fragrance.

Sunday Somewhere Myriah Sunglasses
Easy, breezy, and a bit retro. The color of the lens screams Summertime Blues!

Striped Sun Hat
Fun in the sun! This hat makes a sunny statement that will not be forgotten.

Supergoop Sunscreen
Good stuff: We’re talking reef-safe, cruelty-free and made with clean ingredients. Forget oxybenzone, octinoxate, parabens and 1600+ other ingredients on their “No List.” Pick your potion and get out and enjoy the sun!

Prive Revaux The Timeless Polarized Sunglasses
I know that you will find something to love in this well priced and chic collection. Click the photo for these exact glasses. Click the link below for the entire edit.

Eugenia Kim Hat
I'll take the hat if the rest comes with it! So pretty with the white ribbon and bow.

Beekman 1802 Hello Sunshine
I have come to trust all of the skincare and bath & body products from Beekman. With a base of goat milk, it is all natural and without chemicals. Haven't tried this product yet, but for $20 and Free Shipping, I will.

Alice Butterfly Sunglasses
Fabulous in green, but also available in pink. The price is right, too!
Fringe Canvas Hats
Fun in bright colors and pretty patterns, including a reversible style. Under $70

Hampton Sun Sunscreen
This brand gets a good deal of press. It's 100% chemical free. They offer a wide range of sun protection beginning with an SPF 8 all the way up to SPF 70. I love the options.

Le Specs
If you are looking for tortoise shell glasses, which are always a classic, this brand is where to start. You'll find a stylish selection under $100 at

Wildflower Embroidered Straw Hat
Lele Sandoughi's fabulous floral embroidery adds the chic to this chapeaux. Pair it with a caftan for your next garden party.

Are You Team Mineral Or Chemical?
The kindest thing you can do for yourself is to be good to your skin. I am most certainly team mineral, and avoid chemicals wherever possible. If you get sun poisoning like my family has a tendency to do, it is most likely the chemicals in your sunscreen.
