It's officially wedding season and just a day away from the beginning of Summer. If your invitation was in the mail, you better get your dancing shoes ready. Are you like me and enjoy dressing for a wedding? It's one of the only ocassions where you will find almost everyone dressed to the nines. As they say, "dressing well is is a form of good manners." Here's how to do both, with something

Wallpaper can make a big statement in a room, and I love it, especially for a guest room. My guest room currently is used as a den/guest room combination, and has grasscloth on the walls. I would love to repeat that process, but change up the color, and continue it into the en suite bath. Here's where I need the help of Pencil & Paper. I can't decide which paper. Shown Left to right Grasscloth in black or in Silver and the pattern is Cayman Cork . 
They are all good, right?

The Octavia Bed
I chose this style because of its' beautiful silhouette, with simple lines and  sophisticated presence. It's neither modern or traditional. I chose the washed linen upholstery in metal.

Gobi Bedding 
For a clean spa like feel to the room, I have chosen Gobi, for it's sophisticated and simple borders. There's many colors to chose from but shown above in Pewter. I also enjoy the Border Frame Duvet Covers found here.

Throws
A throw at the bottom of the bed adds texture, pattern and warmth to the look of the bed. I can't quite decide which one? Actually all three would be great to own for changing up the look by the seasons.

Elm Swivel Chair

Our guest room features a fabulous water view of Lake Michigan. The swivel chair in silver linen with nickel nailheads, will allow the guest to be able to look out the window with ease. As always, there are so many colors and fabrics to choose from at 
Serena & Lily.

Throw Pillows

You will find a collection of pillows in every shape and pattern. The Devon Pillow Cover blends all of my color palette beautifully.

Nightstands
Again I am considering three different styles. The choice will be clear when the wallcovering color is selected. All good choices here, and because I am not a fan of matchy matchy, I will most likely choose two styles.

French Cuff Wall Sconces

If you can believe, I only have two table lamps in my home. They were custom designed and two of a kind....the opposite of traditional. Lighting is not my thing, but of course, it is necessary. These are minimalistic but have a great French modern flair. Love!

Storage Basket

Love the silver shine to this basket, which will blend with the nickel trim of the swivel chair, and the wall sconces. Fill the basket with welcome gifts, magazines, towels, etc.

Art

Art changes everything, and Serena & Lily has a fabulous collection of pieces from original works, vintage, prints and more. Shown above is Holly Addi's Fogges Study 2. 

It's perfect for this room.

Guest Room Rug

I enjoy the simplicity of the Heath Rug. It's available in four colors, and of course I like the charcoal shade the best. It's a blend of wool and viscose, making it sturdy and long lasting, not to mention soft underfoot.
