Punked at The Met Ball

New York City's Party of The Year
Punk: Chaos To Couture

Choosing the Punk theme
for The Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute exhibition this year, was controversial
to some and fun for many.  Perhaps the idea
will render new interest from a younger set.

Many of the attendees went with the theme...dressing the part.  Others arrived
in typical grand gala garb. Here's a look at the
Red Carpet....or anarchy at The Met.

Sarah Jessica Parker in a Philip Tracey headpiece, Giles Deacon dress,
and Louboutin boots.
One of my favorite looks of the night.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Valentino.
Pretty in pink and a dress I would wear.

Madonna in Givenchy Haute Couture.
The girl is still working it.
Should she be?

Thom Browne and Taylor Tomasi Hill.
Who punked or shrunk Thom's pants?

Anja Rubik rocked her Anthony Vaccarello chain-and-leather dress
Love it but is it ball worthy?

Heidi Klum in Marchesa
Pretty but boring.

Miley Cyrus in Marc Jacobs.
Her short hair was perfect for the evening.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West,
both in Givenchy.
Lovely dress on Kim but it looks a bit like
she is wearing the entire garden.

Anne Hathaway in vintage Valentino.
Love the "do" on Anne!

Katy Perry in Dolce and Gabbana.
Going for the "Queen of punk look."

Liya Kebede in Alberta Ferretti
Stunning in stripes

Beyonce in Givenchy
Certainly a head turner

Uma Thurman in Zac Posen with the designer
Perhaps the most elegant.

You be the judge.  But I will say,
