Make Ahead Recipes For Christmas Morning

Are you feeling the stress of the Holidays? I am trying to avoid that this year. I love all of the fa la la la, but it's a whole lot of work, too. The last thing we need is hours of kitchen time on Christmas morning. Yet, it is one of the most festive days of the year, and breakfast should be special. I'm here to help with recipes that either take no time to prepare or can be made in advance. Let's all spend  more time with family, and less time in the kitchen.

HERE: 18 Festive Ways To Enjoy Christmas Breakfast

Christmas Mimosas
Now this is the way to begin the festivities!  A stunning but simple recipe.
How Sweet Eats

Christmas Morning Pancakes
Fluffy and fabulous, these blueberry pancakes have been inspired by the movie, "Christmas in Connecticut." Part of the instructions is to let the batter sit in the fridge for two days. Start making them today!

Dutch Baby & Caramelized Cranberries
Almost all of this recipe can be made ahead, making it super easy for Christmas morning. The little touch that makes this dish extra special is clementine orange syrup.
Seasons and Suppers

Naughty Nice Hot Cocoa with Spiked Eggnog Marshmallows
Serve this while opening presents. There's nothing like a homemade marshmallow or Kahlua and chocolate.
Half Baked Harvest

Baked Gingerbread Custard Waffle French Toast
We are talking Gingerbread waffles with eggy custard baked into them. You can make the waffles and the custard the day before and store in the fridge overnight. Get up Christmas morning and bake for about 30 minutes while you are opening presents. I think that I have to make these.
Half Baked Harvest

Homemade Eggnog With Rum
Homemade Eggnog is the best! I just wouldn't think about buying it pre-made. One of the ingredients in Trader Joe's is "carrageenan." Google that and then make this recipe.

Overnight Oats Five Ways
And one of the recipes features Pumpkin! Need I say more? Click the link to change the way you think about oatmeal from now on.
Cooking Classy

Ham and Cheese Breakfast Souffle Casserole
Make this ooey gooey and cheesy dish on Christmas Eve before turning in. Bake it in the morning while opening packages. Anyone who loves eggs, will adore this!
Foodie Crush

Cinnamon Sugar Sourdough Baked French Toast With Whipped Greek Yogurt Cream
This recipe had me at Sourdough. And that whipped Yogurt looks divine. Pre-make this the night before. Isn't it pretty?
How Sweet Eats

Boozy Hot Chocolate With Salted Caramel Whipped Cream
Here's a Christmas morning cocktail that I would not refuse. Haven't we all earned a sip?
Honestly Yum

Overnight Cinnamon Roll French Toast
If you can believe this recipe begins with simple white bread slices. Feel free to adjust it with Gluten Free bread. Tucked in between the rolls is cream cheese frosting! This dish would go over big at my home.
Seasons and Suppers

Strata with Chard, Sausage and Caramelized Onions
Caramelized onions just make everything better. Put it all together the night before, refrigerate, and bake in the morning.

Banana Bread Griddle Cakes
{ Gluten Free & Vegan }
This is taking Mom's Banana Bread up a notch! These cakes aren't actually made ahead, but they are so easy and take only 15 minutes to prepare. If I were you, I would make a little extra of that topping!
Pioneer Woman

Gingerbread Latte
Sure looks like Christmas in a cup to me. And can we please talk about those cute little ginger guys? Get step by step instructions via video at....
Half Baked Harvest

Homemade Gravlax
You cure the salmon up to 72 hours in advance, and it couldn't be easier. It won't take any time to assemble in the morning. Make a platter of these and watch them disappear while opening Hanukkah or Christmas presents.
Love and Olive Oil

Bon Appetit's Best Quiche Lorraine
Buttery, Bacon-y and custardy. One of my favorite breakfast dishes. Brings back memories of my Mom's.
Bon Appetit

Citrus Salad With Prosecco
I'm including this colorful concoction in the mix, because it is just so simple and stunning! Fruit is elevated in a surprising way. Try it!
NY Times Cooking

Mixed Berry Croissant Bread Pudding
And though this recipe does not state it can be made ahead, I have made several bread puddings the night before. So I feel confident, this recipe can be, too. It's almost too gorgeous to eat!
Bakers Royale

Blueberry Baked Oatmeal
I had to add just one more Oatmeal recipe, because this is too beautiful not to include.
